almost to the end

we're about at that point where everyone is asking whether the deed is done. the days continue to slip away, but so far he has not ventured out of his home in alicia's tummy. the other thing i keep hearing is to enjoy my sleep because i will not have normal nights again for a long time. i am not a fan of sleep unless (i) i am already in bed and asleep or (ii) it's a nice warm afternoon and i want a short nap - otherwise i feel like it's a waste of time and i wish i didn't have to. maybe that's a sign i've been in hk too long.

it's another week of beautiful weather while i'm stuck in the office, followed by rain on friday and saturday, before more beautiful weather forecast for monday. funny how that works.

i think we are as set as we can be, both mentally and with all of the "stuff". i know most of you have gone through this process before, but somehow it doesn't seem to translate until you actually experience it. i'm looking forward to that with excitement and a little trepidation.

will keep you informed and post pics once the little guy makes it out.

Alicia! This is Polly... Polly Mak... :) I am so surprised to find your blog and that you are having a baby... soon! (or you already have the baby?) and you are in HK! Me, too!... just visiting for a short while. What a great news! I am so happy for you. I remember the last we spoke you were just getting married, which was a long time ago... e-mail me when you have time: pollycervantes@gmail.com. Congrats again!

Good luck with your labor....can't wait to see the pic of the little boy!

Good luck! It's such a surreal experience. And it took me about 3 months before I realized that there's someone else in our family now.

So I heard from Sunny that you have a baby now?! You must be swamped but I can't wait to see some pictures!!

I'm excited for you! My brother and sister-in-law just had their first baby (named Mason!) so I get to share in their bundle of joy (except I get to sleep through the night). We may be going to Beijing next year, maybe we'll stop HK as well. Congrats!
