engaged!

We are so eager to see what our baby looks like, and I keep wondering how much he'll weigh. I keep running into people here who gained about 60 lbs total, but their babies were only 6 lbs or even less. Just had a check-up and he has already started to engage, all is well so far.

My hands and feet have started aching now - like I have arthritis! Just a few more weeks to carry this heavy bowling ball.

I have been told by a few colleagues to go eat Thai food at this specific place; eat lots of watermelon and "cold" things; to do lots of stairs, and get a foot massge/acupuncture to get him to come on time. Guess I'll give them a try next week as I will officially be full term.

We don't use that terminology here in the west - engaged? Not that I know of anyway. Does this mean your baby's head pointed down and ready to come out? Either way - exciting stuff!!

That's what they call when the baby has started to descend into the pelvic bone area. Maybe in the States they call it "dropping"?

happy thoughts and good health in that last month! i felt SOO uncomfortable from what i remember. i couldn't wait to give birth. what an exciting time for you guyS. much aloha!

Good luck Alicia and Rick, will be a great experience for you both. I also can't wait to see pictures. Great to have ANOTHER boy around. If you read jerin's/andrew's blog. You see the BYU gangs have mostly BOYS!

Also, we are coming back the end of the year. hope we can see you, rick and the new baby =)
