happy birthday kai!
kai's first birthday was on the 5th (cinco de mayo/children's day in korea/japan). we did some small celebrating out with friends, and at the office with some of rick's colleagues. we also had a lunch celebration party with grandma & grandpa c out in db, and plan on doing a late 'dol' celebration with the korean outfit/object picking later when it comes from korea.

hk disneyland
we went to disneyland with some friends here in db. it's so close to where we live - a 20 min bus ride and then a single stop on the subway. the train to disneyland is pretty cool - it has mickey ear shaped windows, little statues of princesses inside glass containers and cushy seats.
we got into disneyland and went on a few rides which kai enjoyed. his favorite was the 'small world' boat ride. he was waving "hi" to all the characters, dancing to the music and clapping excitedly. his next favorite thing was playing in the outdoor water playground they have. i had to tear him away from it, and by the end he was soaked!
